The formidable 'Foreign XV' reflects the English Premiership's new found fortunes
With Wasps confirming the signing of Springbok fullback Willie Le Roux today, it is clear that financial balance of power is starting to swing once again back to towards the coffers of English Premiership. New TV rights deals and the recently struck RFU agreement suggest that the Premiership is once again able to compete with their French counterparts.
The South African is just one of a number of stellar signing by monied Premiership sides heading into the 2016/17 season. Kurtley Beale has also put pen to paper at Wasps, while Matt Toomua and JP Pietersen have also penned deals at Leicester Tigers ahead of the new season.
With this in mind, we have put together a 'Foreign Premiership XV'. It's formiddable. PS: We picked the team to represent as best we could the most recent big name signing - it's not strictly a best XV foreign players in the Premiership team.
