The Jarryd Hayne rumour mill takes the inevitable twist that we all expected
The latest bull**** twist to the Jarryd Hayne rumour mill has inevitably led to serial squanderers Toulon - who it is reported are considering tabling an offer for the code hopping star.
Last week it was reported that the Waratahs had spurned the chance of signing 'quick fix' Hayne in favour of developing their own talent from the ground-up.
However numerous Aussie media outlets - eager for the next round of Hayne speculation articles - have now linked him to Toulon. Although no one had been quoted or cited, it is being reported that the big spenders will make room for Hayne on the back of the departure of fellow Australian Quade Cooper.
It has been suggested that Hayne would serve a short term contract in France - or failing that Japan - before returning to the NRL, with the Eels being the most likely to win his signature.
How much substance there is to the 'Hayne to Toulon' is yet to be seen, but he fits the club's MO of making paying big bucks for the biggest names.
