HIGHLIGHTS: Timisoara Saracens v Fiamme Oro Roma

Romanian Rugby is once again beginning to stir, with a team from the their professional 'Superliga' recording victories against two Italian Top League sides in the Champions Cup qualifying competition.

One of those sides is a Saracens franchise club - Timisoara Saracens - who have recorded impressive victories over Italian sides Fiamme Oro Roma and Rovigo in recent weeks in what is effectively European club rugby's third tier.

While the Italian Top League standard may have slipped since Treviso and Zebre (and previously Aironi) entered the Guinness Pro12 entry, the margin of victories of 45-13 and 35 - 14 over Rovigo and Roma respectively suggests a big improvement in the Romanian domestic game.
