Francois Loew explains the difference between 6s and 7s
While for many the differences are obvious, it probably not a completely wasted exercise considering England have more or less refused to play an out and out 7 for some years now. Matters are confused by France who play left and right flankers, and South Africa who have conveniently inverted the attribution of 6 for blindside and 7 for openside as used by the Home Nations.
